Communication and Marketing Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to join our team in Welshpool on a permanent, full‑time basis. Reporting to the Head of People & Communication, you will shape internal and external communications, marketing and event strategies for Thiess Group Operating Companies across the Australia West region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the region’s external communications strategy, including activity scheduling, budget management and best‑practice delivery.
• Support the Regional Group Executive with internal and external engagement activities and help define the region’s Employer Value Proposition.
• Manage the Australia West OpCos brand presence, evolve brand guidelines and maintain up‑to‑date collateral.
• Maintain the region’s websites and social media platforms, ensuring accurate, current content and compliance with risk management.
• Deliver strategic media management, reputation management, incident response and crisis communications.
• Design and deliver regional events, advertising campaigns and sponsorship initiatives to enhance brand equity.

Required profile

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven experience leading communication strategies for large, diverse organisations.
• Strong business acumen and ability to drive commercial outcomes.

Required skills

• Experience with content management systems.
• Familiarity with digital systems and platforms.
