Commercial Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

CIE Legal, a leading commercial law firm focused on deep client relationships, is looking for a Commercial Associate or Senior Associate to join its thriving commercial practice. The team works on complex, meaningful matters in a culture described as quality, trustworthy and down to earth. The firm is interested in practitioners with 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Work with major consumer brands and thriving corporate businesses on commercial issues.
• Handle commercial and IT contracts, marketing reviews, franchising, privacy and data protection, consumer law and regulatory matters.
• Provide hands-on legal work, valued by the firm for thoughtful problem solving and direct client contact.

Required profile

• 3+ years of PQE from a top, mid or respected boutique firm, or in-house.
• Solid experience in contracts and contract drafting.
• Interest in innovating how legal services are delivered.
• Clear, direct written and verbal communication; down to earth and hardworking.
• Comfortable directing your own work, working autonomously and in a team, and engaging directly with clients in person and on the phone.
• Experience in the consumer products and/or healthcare sector is a bonus but not essential.
