Commercial Analyst – Flexible Working Conditions

About the role

An experienced Commercial Analyst is sought to report to the Sales & Pricing Manager. The role sits in Matraville with hybrid working (Monday to Wednesday in the office, Thursday and Friday working from home), and onsite parking is provided. It suits someone who is analytical, enjoys presenting insights to stakeholders and works well in a high-functioning team under a manager who does not micro-manage.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare for monthly sales reporting
• Process quarterly rebates
• Analyse and interpret financial results and variances to budget and forecast
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decisions
• Identify key business trends and carry out competitor analysis
• Manipulate data and extract relevant information to present to internal stakeholders
• Assist with sales budgeting and forecasting cycles, including documenting assumptions

Required profile

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar commercial analyst role, ideally in a product or manufacturing environment
• Qualification in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (CA/CPA highly regarded)
• Ability to present findings confidently to internal teams, working closely with sales and marketing
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven and comfortable working independently

Required skills

• SAP (not essential if you have similar ERP software experience)
• Power BI or similar tools (essential)
