Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help protect the core infrastructure that powers services such as Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive and Azure. You will design, implement and operate security controls for both cloud and on‑premises environments, working closely with internal and external partners to defend critical datacenter infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and investigate patterns in security controls and telemetry, recommend mitigation strategies and drive improvements through automation.
• Install, upgrade, maintain and optimise security platforms, cloud services and supporting infrastructure.
• Design, implement and operate secure Azure cloud environments using native and third‑party security controls.
• Deliver and support cybersecurity and compliance solutions for Microsoft datacenters.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in cloud security or related cybersecurity roles.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
