Clinical Trial Doctor – Principal or Sub‑Investigator

About the role

An established clinical research site in Canberra is seeking a Medical Practitioner to lead or support industry‑sponsored clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. The position offers flexible full‑time or part‑time arrangements and a clear pathway from Sub‑Investigator to Principal Investigator.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trials in line with ICH‑GCP, study protocols and regulatory standards.
• Provide medical oversight, ensure participant safety and perform assessments such as physical exams, ECG review and laboratory interpretation.
• Obtain informed consent, maintain participant engagement and collaborate with coordinators, sponsors and site staff.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation, compliance and data integrity throughout the trial lifecycle.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
• Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub‑Investigator is highly regarded; new entrants to clinical research are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of ICH‑GCP and clinical trial processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and clinical assessment abilities.
