Clinical Support Nurse – Part‑time Fixed‑term

About the role

The Clinical Support Nurse provides direct clinical support, instruction and supervision for nursing students on placement and assists new graduates and staff in transitioning to the clinical environment. The role also contributes to the development of innovative practices that improve health‑care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing students during clinical placements.
• Support the onboarding and work‑experience of new graduates and staff.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate competency‑based education programs.
• Assist colleagues with planning, implementing and reviewing patient care and clinical practices.
• Identify and promote innovative approaches to enhance quality of care.

Required profile

• Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills in acute and aged‑care settings.
• Commitment to quality management and evidence‑based nursing practice.
• Understanding of education processes and challenges within health‑care.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities, including conflict resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple projects.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three years post‑graduate nursing experience.
