About the role

Northeast Health Wangaratta is seeking friendly, compassionate and effective Clinical Pharmacists (Grade 1 or 2) to join its award‑winning pharmacy team. Positions are available on both ongoing (permanent) and temporary (up to 12 months) contracts, with flexible part‑time hours and rostered days.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide generalist and/or specialist clinical pharmacy and medication‑management services across a range of hospital areas.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient, comprehensive service delivery.
  • Rotate through varied clinical settings such as Dispensary, Hospital‑in‑the‑Home, Day Oncology, Sub‑acute/Rehabilitation, Medical and Surgical Wards, ICU, Emergency Department, Mental Health Unit and others.
  • Supervise, mentor and give feedback to pharmacy interns and students on placement.
  • Deliver education and training to staff both within and outside the pharmacy department.
  • Represent the pharmacy department on relevant working groups and committees.

Required profile

  • Registered pharmacist with a commitment to high‑quality patient care.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work across multiple rostered areas.
  • Willingness to engage in supervision, mentorship and continuous professional development.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying rotation lengths (4‑6 months typical, longer for specialty practice).
