Clinical Nurse – Mental Health (Wellbeing Team)

About the role

Join the Wellbeing Team at Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services as a Clinical Nurse. You will deliver advanced, person‑centred mental health care to individuals experiencing acute distress, crises, and suicidal thoughts, working both autonomously and collaboratively.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, safety planning and evidence‑based interventions for consumers in mental health crisis.
• Provide clinical leadership and coordinate care for consumers with complex mental health needs.
• Support quality improvement, risk management and compliance with professional standards and governance frameworks.
• Mentor staff and students, and contribute to education, research and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse committed to recovery‑focused mental health care.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve positive outcomes for consumers.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in mental health nursing practice and assessment.
• Strong leadership, communication and clinical decision‑making abilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously while fostering collaborative multidisciplinary relationships.
