Clinical Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

Lead from the front in the fast‑paced Gladstone Emergency Department, delivering high‑level nursing care to patients with complex needs. Use advanced clinical skills, critical thinking and sound judgement to respond when every second counts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of complex nursing care for diverse patient groups, including paediatric presentations.
• Mentor, support and educate fellow nurses, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Participate in clinical audits, research and quality‑improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care processes.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA nursing registration with advanced assessment and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Postgraduate qualification (or commitment to complete within an agreed timeframe).
• Strong communication, collaboration and conflict‑resolution skills to work effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
