Clinical Director Radiology

About the role

Darling Downs Health is looking for a Clinical Director Radiology to lead its high-performing medical imaging service in Toowoomba. The role combines specialist clinical practice with executive-level leadership, shaping service innovation, workforce development and patient-centred care within a growing regional health service. It is a permanent full-time position of 80 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead radiology teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Drive service improvements that enhance access, efficiency and outcomes.
• Partner with clinical leaders to strengthen care pathways and collaboration.
• Support education, capability development and a culture of innovation.

Required profile

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
• Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Experience leading clinical teams and service improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Able to lead with confidence, professionalism and purpose, and to improve services for patients and communities.

Candidates who have leadership training and experience in research, education or healthcare innovation will stand out.

• Remuneration package valued up to $513,555 (L27), with hourly rates from $107.95 (L18) to $136.22 (L27).
