Clinical Assistant - Enrolled Nurse, Radiology

About the role

Lake Imaging, part of the Integral Diagnostics Group, provides diagnostic imaging services to private hospitals, public hospitals, community clinics and specialist centres across Victoria. It is looking for a Clinical Assistant, Division 2 Nurse to join its Private Radiology nursing team in the Ballarat region.

Key responsibilities

• IV cannulation as required
• Admission and education of patients and their families
• Post-procedure care, recovery and discharge
• Liaising with orderly staff to transport patients after examination or procedure to wards
• Assisting to set up rooms for various scans, including lifting and changing equipment

Required profile

• Registered Nurse, Division 2, with current registration with the Nurses Board of Victoria
• Medication endorsement to administer oral and intramuscular medication
• Ability to work in a high-field magnetic environment
• IV cannulation qualification or willingness to attend a cannulation course
• Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to respond effectively in emergencies and to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Patient-centred approach and ability to build patient relationships
