Client‑Side Project Manager – Construction (Cairns)

About the role

RPS is seeking a client‑side Project Manager to join its high‑performing team in Cairns. You will work on large, complex construction projects across Defence, Education, Government, and Health sectors, helping shape communities and deliver impactful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver client‑side construction projects from inception to completion.
• Manage construction contracts and contract administration, ensuring compliance with government approvals.
• Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to meet project milestones.
• Provide regular reporting and documentation to clients and senior management.
• Maintain health and safety standards on site and oversee risk management.

Required profile

• 4+ years of recent construction project experience in Education, Government, Health or Defence sectors.
• Professional qualification in project management, architecture, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Proven experience in contract administration and stakeholder management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Completed construction site health and safety course; AIPM certification is a plus.
