Cleaning Team Member – Hospital Housekeeping

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney is looking for an experienced housekeeping cleaner to join its Environmental Services department at the Darlinghurst campus, which includes the Private and Public Hospital, The Sacred Heart Health Service and The St Vincent's Clinic. You will help keep the hospital clean, safe and comfortable for patients, visitors and staff. Training in hospital cleaning and infection control is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Clean rooms and public areas to a high standard
• Work on a 7-day rotating roster, morning shifts starting between 6:00am and 8:30am or evening shifts starting between 3:00pm and 6:00pm
• Use floor machines such as polishers and scrubbers (helpful but not required)

Required profile

• Experience in cleaning; hospital or hotel experience is helpful
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking and well presented
• Good communication and people skills, able to work in a team or independently
• Able to plan work and manage time
• Available to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays, mornings and afternoons
• Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian visa with the right to work; visa sponsorship is not available

What we offer

• $36.39 per hour including 25% casual loading, plus superannuation
