Classroom Support Officer (Temporary Part-Time)

About the role

Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong is advertising several temporary part-time positions as School Support Officers in classrooms at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Shellharbour, NSW. The positions start on 28 January 2027 and run until 26 January 2028, with various hours available. The role supports the delivery of quality learning and teaching by working collaboratively with teachers to assist students in all areas of learning and classroom management.

Required profile

• Commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church.
• Ability to support children's individual learning in the classroom and to work with students of diverse needs.
• Positive interaction with students.
• Preferred: previous experience in similar settings and experience with the PB4L framework.
• Qualification: Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Working with Children Check (required before starting).
