Claims Processing Consultant - Hospital & Ancillaries

About the role

Bupa is growing its Health Insurance team in Adelaide with several 12-month fixed-term opportunities across Hospital Claims and Ancillaries (Extras). As a Claims Processing Consultant you will help customers and providers navigate the claims process so that claims are assessed accurately and resolved efficiently. Training is provided and the role suits people with experience in claims, customer service, healthcare or administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process health insurance claims
• Manage complex and exception claims
• Respond to customer and provider enquiries
• Work across multiple systems and applications
• Investigate issues and identify solutions
• Build relationships with customers, providers and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer outcomes
• Work within relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• Ideally experience in customer service, administration, claims or a similar environment
• Customer-focused, detail-oriented and eager to learn
• Experience in health insurance, healthcare, claims or contact centre environments is highly regarded but not essential

Required skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence working across multiple systems
