Civil Litigation Lawyer (2+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Civil Litigation Lawyer with at least two years of post‑qualification experience to join our boutique firm in Burwood, Sydney. You will work autonomously, handling the full lifecycle of civil cases, from commencing court proceedings to managing small claims and general division matters, with a focus on debt recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate and manage court proceedings for civil matters.
• Handle small claims and general division cases independently.
• Provide advice to clients on a range of civil disputes, primarily debt recovery.
• Deliver high‑quality legal work within tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with paralegals and a personal assistant to ensure efficient case management.

Required profile

• Background in civil litigation and debt recovery.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to client outcomes.
• Direct, transparent communication style.
