Civil Engineering Drafter for Utility Infrastructure

About the role

UDEC is expanding its drafting capability in Victoria and Queensland and seeks an experienced Civil Engineering Drafter to produce construction‑ready documentation for major utility infrastructure projects across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise AutoCAD and Synergy to develop technical drawings, sheet sets and digital graphics for water, wastewater, electricity, telecommunications and gas projects.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines, identify project scope and programme requirements, and ensure compliance with UDEC’s Quality Management System and Australian drafting standards.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience preparing civil infrastructure drawings using 2D drafting software within an Australian consultancy.
• Strong understanding of CAD standards, civil drafting conventions, symbols and presentation guidelines across Australian states.

Required skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D production and sheet set management).
• Proficient in Synergy, including software customization and script authoring.
