Cisco NSO Developer – Network Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to design, develop and deploy automation solutions using Cisco NSO for a global client. The role is based in Sydney with a hybrid work model, collaborating closely with network and engineering teams to streamline service provisioning and orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end network automation workflows and service packages with Cisco NSO.
• Develop Python scripts and YANG data models to automate configuration and provisioning across multi‑vendor environments.
• Integrate REST, NETCONF and RESTCONF APIs and build Ansible playbooks for orchestration.
• Work with Cisco IOS‑XE, IOS‑XR and Juniper JunOS platforms to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable service‑provider network solutions.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on experience in service‑provider or carrier networks.
• Expert knowledge of BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and ISIS routing protocols.
• Strong understanding of modern service‑provider architecture and IP peering agreements.
• Unrestricted full working rights in Australia.
