Child and Family Health Nurse (Multiple Positions)

About the role

Join the Child and Family Health Nursing team in Wagga Wagga to support children aged 0‑5 and their families. This community‑focused role uses a strengths‑based, wellness‑focused approach to build parental confidence and improve health outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct evidence‑based screening and comprehensive assessments to identify health variations or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement tailored care plans and interventions.
• Deliver safe, responsive nursing practice and evaluate outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Work within a multidisciplinary rural health team, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) meeting all RN standards.
• Post‑graduate qualification in Child and Family Health (or commitment to complete within 12 months) and Authorised Nurse Immuniser status.
• Strong capability in continuous quality improvement, assessment, care planning and outcome evaluation.
• Excellent therapeutic relationship skills, critical thinking, leadership and a Class C driver licence.

• Salary range $79,368.82 – $111,427.34 per annum pro‑rata, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
