Chief Operating Officer

About the role

A high-growth, mid-market professional services firm is looking for its next Chief Operating Officer. After growing through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, the business is moving into a phase focused on scalable growth, operational excellence and the use of emerging technologies such as AI. As a member of the executive leadership team, the COO will shape and deliver this agenda, lead organisational change and bring people along.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Finance, IT, Business Development, People & Culture and Marketing, ensuring they work together to support strategic objectives.
• Drive organisational change and lead the firm through its next stage of growth.
• Lead from the front and build high-performing teams.

Required profile

• Commercially astute executive with broad operational leadership experience.
• Proven track record of leading growth, transformation and high-performing teams.
• Experience in a people-led consulting or professional services environment is essential; exposure to a partnership-based model is highly regarded.
• Candidates may come from a background beyond a traditional CFO remit, or from a COO, CEO, GM or EGM role.
