Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Chief Financial Officer will act as the strategic and commercial partner to the CEO of a fast‑growing non‑bank lender. You will provide visibility of financial performance, drive profitability and manage capital allocation while leading a finance team of 12‑15 professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO on business strategy, translating it into financial objectives, plans and measurable targets.
• Own the performance management framework, driving driver‑based planning, forecasting and regular budget reviews.
• Provide executive oversight of pricing, product and capital allocation, ensuring alignment with growth, margin and risk goals.
• Maintain a strong control environment, including accurate statutory reporting, audit, tax and compliance with AFSL and APRA requirements.
• Act as senior financial representative to internal and external stakeholders, presenting to board committees and supporting the CEO in communications.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance leadership experience in a lending environment (bank or non‑bank).
• Deep FP&A and commercial finance expertise combined with strong financial control and governance.
• Proven ability to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments and market conditions on financial outcomes.
• Experience with securitisation, warehouse funding structures and their impact on capital, liquidity and profitability.
• Demonstrated track record of building and developing high‑performing finance teams.
• CPA or CA qualification.
