Chief Financial Officer

About the role

SUBCO is seeking an experienced Group Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Team. Reporting to the Co‑CEOs, you will build and lead a world‑class finance function that supports $3+ billion of infrastructure projects across the Indo‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a finance team that ensures rigour, transparency and accountability.
• Establish robust financial controls, governance frameworks and compliance processes for a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdictional group.
• Own the integrity of financial reporting, including consolidation, statutory accounts and regulatory filings.
• Design and implement finance systems, processes and data architecture to enable reliable reporting and scalability.
• Oversee tax strategy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Partner with senior executives on financial strategy and major business decisions.
• Manage relationships with auditors, lenders and regulatory stakeholders.
• Lead finance transformation, modernising and automating systems.

Required profile

• CA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (non‑negotiable).
• Proven tenure as CFO of a multi‑national, multi‑entity enterprise, preferably in a capital‑intensive industry.
• Deep expertise in financial reporting standards, group consolidation and statutory compliance.
• Experience designing and implementing financial controls frameworks and governance structures.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate strategically in a small team.

Required skills

• ERP selection, implementation or transformation experience.
• Financial reporting platform implementation with focus on data integrity and automation.
• Multi‑jurisdiction financial reporting and tax compliance, including Australian tax consolidation, transfer pricing and cross‑border obligations.
