Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

Robert Half is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for a well-established, growing organisation in Canning Vale, Western Australia. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the executive team and the Board, the CFO leads the finance function and acts as a trusted adviser on financial strategy, performance and governance. The role suits an experienced CFO or a senior finance leader ready to move into a broader executive position. It is a permanent placement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy and align financial plans with organisational objectives
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on business planning, performance and key decisions
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial analysis
• Provide insight into performance, risks, opportunities and improvement priorities
• Support commercial and operational decisions through financial analysis and modelling
• Lead Board reporting and support governance
• Oversee funding, liquidity, financial controls, compliance and risk management
• Improve reporting, systems and management information
• Develop and lead the finance team and build relationships internally and externally

Required profile

• Recognised accounting qualification such as CA, CPA or equivalent
• Senior finance leadership experience in a complex business
• Experience with senior executives, Boards and external advisers
• Track record of improving financial processes, reporting and controls
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Salary range: 180,000 to 220,000 AUD per year.
