Chief Commercial Officer

About the role

This newly created executive position reports directly to the Managing Director and will own the commercial function for a fast‑growing mining services business. You will shape commercial strategy, drive revenue growth and build the structures needed to support rapid expansion across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial function, including sales, business development, sales support and marketing.
• Drive revenue growth across existing and new markets.
• Build executive‑level relationships with major mining and mining services organisations.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies and contract structuring.
• Manage complex sales opportunities with long sales cycles and significant contract values.
• Develop and execute commercial growth and marketing strategies.
• Establish structured account management, forecasting and reporting frameworks.
• Work closely with operational teams to ensure customer commitments are successfully delivered.
• Represent the business at industry conferences, customer events and strategic meetings.
• Identify new market opportunities, partnerships and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior commercial experience, preferably in mining services or related heavy‑industry sectors.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high‑value, complex contracts.
• Experience working at executive level with founders and senior leadership teams.
• Strong ability to build executive‑level relationships with major mining organisations.
