Chef Manager – FIFO 14:7 roster

About the role

Sodexo is seeking experienced Chef Managers to lead kitchen operations for its regional Queensland mining villages. Working on a FIFO/BIBO schedule (14 days on, 7 days off) you will ensure high‑quality meals are delivered safely and efficiently to remote communities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing kitchen team in a bulk‑catering environment.
• Oversee meal production for breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP and quality standards across all operations.
• Monitor kitchen budgets, control food costs and drive operational performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in high‑volume or bulk catering kitchens.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote, variable weather conditions.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol tests.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Proficiency in managing large‑scale meal production.
