Chef de Partie – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Crystalbrook Sam, Adelaide’s newest five‑star hotel. As a Chef de Partie you will run your own section, ensuring every dish meets the brand’s high standards of flavour, quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute dishes for service, maintaining consistency in taste and plating.
• Organise daily preparation, manage stock, and minimise waste.
• Guide and mentor Demi and Commis Chefs, supporting their development.
• Collaborate closely with senior culinary leaders to source and use produce responsibly.

Required profile

• Proven experience confidently running a section in a busy restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality produce, flavour and presentation.
• Experience training and supporting junior chefs.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude with clear communication.
• Commitment to responsible sourcing and reducing food waste.

Required skills

• Commercial Cookery qualification (Certificate III/IV).
• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Kitchen section management.
• Stock and preparation planning.
