Chef de Partie – High‑Volume Kitchen

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef de Partie to join our high‑volume kitchen at Movie World in Gold Coast. You will lead a team, ensure food quality and safety, and help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications, ensuring quality, presentation and portion control.
• Manage food safety compliance, including storage, handling and allergen requirements.
• Organise food preparation and equipment for events, buffets, group bookings and special functions.
• Oversee stock receipting, storage, rotation and inventory levels, minimizing waste.
• Identify and report operational or maintenance issues promptly.
• Control COGS and labour costs in line with budgets.
• Mentor and train team members to foster a positive, guest‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high‑volume kitchen, preferably in a theme park or corporate events environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene standards and dietary requirements.
• Experience managing stock levels and supporting food cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (advantageous).
