Chef de Partie - Burger Restaurant

About the role

A new burger restaurant called Romeo's is opening in Manly in November, run by the team behind Norma's Deli. As Chef de Partie you will prepare burgers to order so that every meal is fresh, consistent and meets the restaurant's standard. It is a hands-on role combining food preparation and service with kitchen organisation, team leadership and high standards of food safety, cleanliness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Set up your station and complete prep according to prep lists and par levels
• Cook and package burgers to the recipes, portions and presentation standards
• Keep tickets moving during service and communicate clearly with bar and front-of-house
• Taste and check food throughout service, following allergen and dietary procedures on every order
• Check deliveries, store produce correctly and rotate stock (FIFO)
• Keep the station and kitchen clean, sanitised and organised, and complete set-up/pack-down checklists, temperature logs and cleaning records
• Help train new team members, greet customers when visible and help front-of-house when busy

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is essential
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive team attitude
• Availability for afternoon, evening and weekend shifts

Required skills

• Good knowledge of WHS and food hygiene
• Knowledge of efficient kitchen processes
