Charge Up Operator – Underground Mining

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join the Renison underground mine team. The role involves safely charging production and development shots, supporting the mine’s life‑of‑mine plan, and contributing to a safe, efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Safe charging of production and development shots in line with engineering plans.
• Accurate recording and documentation of charges and related data.
• Liaise with geological, engineering and survey staff to ensure alignment with mine plans.
• Conduct re‑entry after blasting and maintain thorough bookkeeping of activities.
• Perform pre‑start checks on vehicles and machinery, recording hazards and condition.
• Carry out regular workplace inspections and ensure consumables are organised.
• Install and retreat services where required and uphold company values.

Required profile

• Current Shot Firer (RWC) ticket.
• Proven experience working in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to work independently, stay organised and prioritize safety.
• Willingness to enhance skills through further training as needed.

Required skills

• Shot firer certification (RWC ticket).
