Centre Director - NewDay Kids Early Learning Centre

About the role

New Day Kids is looking for an enthusiastic Director for its Figtree, Wollongong Early Learning Centre, a well-resourced Long Day Care Centre providing 58 places per day. The centre is currently rated Meeting National Quality Standards and aims to reach an Exceeding rating. The Director works within a caring church community and supports staff while modelling exemplary teaching practice.

Key responsibilities

• Model exemplary teaching practice and mentor staff
• Build a strong, cohesive team and guide teaching teams toward collaborative, culturally strong learning environments
• Engage regularly with teachers, educators and children
• Act as Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

Required profile

• Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised university, or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
• Valid Working with Children Check and willingness to obtain a National Police check
• Emergency First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, accredited Child Protection Training and National Child Safety Training (Geccko)
• Knowledge of the National Law, National Regulation, National Quality Standard, EYLF and child protection legislation
