Category Manager – Sourcing & Procurement

About the role

The Category Manager (Sourcing & Procurement) will lead the sourcing and category management of make‑to‑order engineered items, ensuring on‑time delivery, technical compliance and quality in line with EOS commercial and production goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies, analysing supplier capability, capacity and cost.
• Conduct market research, manage supplier relationships and negotiate agreements to optimise value and reduce risk.
• Monitor supplier performance on delivery, lead time, quality and cost, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Source parts based on specifications, drawings and organisational priorities, selecting appropriate vendors.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and support EOS DS strategic objectives, including cost‑reduction and cash‑flow targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of international sourcing and procurement experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, MRP/production planning and ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Experience with metal fabrication, machining processes and ERP/MRP systems.
• Relevant qualifications such as APICS CSCP, CPIM or CIPS are highly regarded.
