Casual Teacher – Primary & High School (Autism Support)

About the role

Aspect Hunter School is seeking qualified teachers for casual positions across primary and high school levels. You will join a dedicated team delivering evidence‑informed education to students on the autism spectrum in Port Macquarie, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised learning programs aligned with each student’s strengths and goals.
• Collaborate daily with a teacher aide, families, and multidisciplinary professionals such as psychologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists.
• Maintain small class sizes and adapt instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to data‑driven reporting of outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher registration for primary or secondary education in Australia.
• Experience or strong interest in working with students on the autism spectrum.
• Commitment to a student‑centred, evidence‑based approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of autism‑specific educational strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective communication with students, families, and support staff.
