Casual Food Services Assistant - Aged Care

About the role

Respect Ingham Lodge, the largest provider of aged care services in Regional Australia, is hiring a Casual Food Services Assistant. You will work alongside the Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, maintain food safety standards and keep the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly. The role is based in a regional community and offers opportunities to support hotel services, including laundry and cleaning duties.

Key responsibilities

• Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences and dietary requirements
• Prepare, serve and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program
• Maintain hygiene standards, including general cleaning and safe food handling
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential aged care food services
• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
• Compassionate and respectful approach to aged care
