Casual Cold Store Worker

About the role

A family-owned paddock-to-plate beef farm operates a cold store where its product is stored, sorted and dispatched for domestic and export orders. This is a casual position in Tullamarine, Melbourne, and is described as an important role in delivering the right product to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Pick domestic and export meat orders
• Sort cartons at the cold store
• Carry out work safely in line with the company's quality procedures and processes

Required profile

• Experience picking and handling perishable products in a cold store is preferable
• Ability to lift and handle cartons of beef weighing 10kg to 25kg
• Reliable and punctual, with care for the product
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid

Required skills

• High attention to detail and numeracy
• Able to follow instructions and procedures

What we offer

• Regular weekday hours, usually 2-4 days per week, about 12 days a month; Thursday availability is essential
• No work on weekends or after hours
