Carpenter - Formwork and Civil Construction

About the role

KPI Labour Hire is recruiting skilled Carpenters for ongoing projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. The work covers major civil construction, utility and industrial projects, with steady work at EBA rates. You will produce quality carpentry and formwork while keeping the highest standards of safety, workmanship and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry and formwork tasks in line with project requirements
• Set out, level and measure from drawings and specifications
• Assemble and fix formwork panels, metal props, brackets and clamps
• Support concrete pouring, screeding and finishing
• Undertake steel fixing, conduit laying and pipe laying as needed
• Strip, clean and stack formwork ready for reuse
• Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
• Complete work safely, on schedule and to a high standard, following site safety procedures and working with supervisors, operators and crews

Required profile

• Trade-qualified Carpenter with relevant qualifications
• At least 2 years' experience in carpentry, formwork or civil construction
• Proven ability to assemble and fix formwork systems
• Current Construction Induction (White Card)
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Willingness to work across project sites in Victoria and to complete a medical and police check
• Background in steel fixing, conduit or pipe laying, civil construction, substations, terminal stations or data centre projects is a plus
