Cargo Co‑ordinator – Western Sydney Airport

About the role

Star Aviation Services is launching its first cargo operations at Western Sydney Airport. As a Cargo Co‑ordinator you will oversee freight activities in a designated area, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient handling while supporting the growth of the aviation business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of freight staff within the assigned operational zone.
• Ensure productivity and performance targets are met, including regular performance assessments.
• Allocate work, organise schedules and meet operational deadlines.
• Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements.
• Perform administrative and reporting duties using communication and computer systems.
• Participate in probationary employee assessment panels.
• Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory and company procedures and promote a safety‑first culture.
• Report hazards, incidents and operational risks promptly.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in freight or ground handling operations.
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to obtain and hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
