Career Transition Assistance Training Facilitator

About the role

APM is hiring a Career Transition Assistance (CTA) Facilitator in Bankstown, NSW. As part of the APM group, you will support participants aged 45 and over who want to return to work, helping them take on new careers and new skills. You will deliver, facilitate and administer assessments, training, advice and ultimately help them become more competitive in the local employment market.

Key responsibilities

• Consult and assess applicants to determine their suitability for the program
• Deliver the CTA program in a group training environment
• Develop participants' skills and help them obtain sustainable, ongoing employment
• Build relationships with other JobActive providers and promote the program's benefits to potential participants
• Develop internal and external relationships, such as government departments, local industry bodies and employers
• Facilitate the program in line with accreditation standards and contractual obligations

Required profile

• Experience as a trainer with Employment Services experience
• Strong knowledge of the local labour market, ideally of the Employment Services industry
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships with industry bodies and employers
• Experience in career development or career counselling is advantageous
• Experience in organising, planning, implementing and facilitating training programs
• Proven track record of meeting KPIs and delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to influence, negotiate and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle, with willingness to travel occasionally
• Eligibility to work in Australia, a MyGovID (standard level), and willingness to complete a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check
