Care Assistant (Disability Support) - Central Coast

About the role

Lumia Care is recruiting Disability Support Workers to support clients who live independently at home on the Upper and Lower Central Coast (Wamberal, Wyong, Umina and surrounds). The role is casual, and you will help clients live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social support and companionship
• Assist with transport to appointments, shopping and community activities
• Deliver personal care with dignity and respect (showering, grooming, dressing)
• Support clients with domestic tasks and meal preparation
• Help clients maintain independence in their own homes

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care (highly regarded)
• Previous experience in aged care, disability or community support (essential)
• Current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
• Previous experience in manual handling, hoist and transfers (highly regarded)
• Mandatory: current First Aid certificate, police check, NDIS worker screening check, Working with Children check, full Australian work rights
