Cardiac Technician Grade 2 or 3 - Cardiac Catheter Lab

About the role

Cabrini Health in Malvern is hiring a Cardiac Technician Grade 2 or 3 for its Cardiac Catheter Lab, a permanent part-time position at 0.6 FTE. The lab is part of Cabrini's three cardiac catheterisation laboratories, which perform over 3,000 procedures a year and are housed in a state-of-the-art Perioperative Services facility. The technician provides high-quality physiological monitoring and ECG interpretation during cardiac procedures and/or pacemaker testing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physiological monitoring and ECG interpretation during cardiac procedures and/or pacemaker testing
• Practice independently and interdependently, taking accountability for own actions and delegating care in line with legislation and protocols
• Support Interventional, EP and Structural procedures in a high-performing team
• Contribute to innovation and best practice in a well-established program

Required profile

• Cardiac Technicians Certificate/diploma or relevant tertiary degree
• 12-18 months of experience in interventional and structural heart procedures preferred; EP skills desired or willingness to upskill to EP procedures
• Commitment to clinical excellence, quality patient care and attention to detail
• Flexibility, positive attitude and excellent customer service and communication skills

Required skills

• Strong clinical ECG interpretation in a cardiac cath lab setting
• Interventional and structural heart procedure experience
