Business & Tax Advisory Manager

About the role

The Business & Tax Advisory Manager will be based on‑site in Shepparton, VIC, overseeing a portfolio of business and taxation clients. You will provide strategic advisory services, ensure compliance across multiple entity types, and mentor junior staff to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Advise clients on business structures, tax planning opportunities, budgeting, cash flow and growth strategies.
• Lead and develop team members, coordinate workflow and ensure timely delivery of advisory engagements.
• Build strong client relationships, identify value‑added services and contribute to process improvement.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in business taxation, compliance and advisory, with experience in public practice or a similar environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA or CPA qualification strongly preferred.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate clear, tailored advice.

• Proficiency with accounting and practice management software.
• Technical expertise in preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns.
