Business Services Manager / Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Business Services Manager to join our Milton office in Brisbane. In this senior position you will deliver high‑quality compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of small‑ to medium‑size business clients while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and Business Activity Statements.
• Provide value‑added business and tax advisory, including tax planning and business structuring.
• Oversee workflow for the team, review work of colleagues and offer technical guidance.
• Liaise with clients and the leadership team on professional and service matters.
• Contribute to practice direction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, client‑focused and team‑oriented professional.
• Ability to evaluate scenarios from multiple perspectives and propose outcome‑based solutions.
• Tertiary degree in accounting from a recognised Australian university.
• CA or CPA qualification.
• Minimum 10 years experience in business services and/or tax within an Australian accounting firm.
