Business Performance Analyst

About the role

The Business Performance Analyst provides expert analysis, reporting and advice on performance data for the Court and Tribunal Services Division, supporting decision‑making and performance measurement.

Key responsibilities

• Extract data from source systems using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Cognos and Power BI, and build queries and reports to meet mandatory reporting requirements.
• Conduct quality assurance and data‑integrity checks, and contribute to the development of a performance measurement framework in line with departmental standards.
• Analyse and interpret data against division performance indicators and prepare business reporting outputs, including the Report of Government Services.
• Consult with internal stakeholders across the division to build relationships and deliver agreed outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong data‑management and business‑intelligence experience, including statistical analysis and use of reporting tools.
• High‑level research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Strategic thinking ability to draw on multiple information sources and support informed decision‑making.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and accountability.
