Business Operations Senior Specialist

About the role

Telstra is looking for a Business Operations Senior Specialist to partner with its line-of-business leadership teams and advise them on the commercial and operational performance of their businesses. You will lead and coordinate the delivery and implementation of strategic initiatives and projects to completion, translating business priorities into clear roadmaps and managing cross-functional delivery, risks and dependencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and planning through implementation and operational handover.
• Develop and maintain initiative roadmaps, priorities, milestones and delivery plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across technology, operations, data and delivery partners.
• Manage delivery governance, risks, issues, dependencies, scope and change controls.
• Provide delivery reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Track benefits and business outcomes while supporting operational and commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex strategic initiatives or projects end-to-end.
• Strong experience delivering business and technology change in a large, complex organisation.
• Ability to coordinate and influence multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Desired: experience developing delivery and performance reporting in Power BI or Tableau, supporting business cases and benefits tracking, exposure to annual, quarterly and incremental planning, and a relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline.
