Business Manager

About the role

Rainworth State School is seeking an organised and proactive Business Manager to lead business operations, oversee financial and administrative functions, support staff management and ensure the effective use of school resources. The role sits within the Education & Training occupational group.

Key responsibilities

• Independently coordinate school business services, adapt processes as needed, interpret information and resolve operational issues in a complex school environment.
• Provide administrative support through reports and correspondence, research issues, consult experts and recommend solutions.
• Supervise school support staff by coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, managing recruitment, induction and training, and overseeing timesheets, leave, rosters and relief arrangements.
• Assist the Principal with budget planning and financial administration, including expenditure monitoring, payroll, purchasing and reporting, and recommend compliant solutions to financial matters.
• Oversee school facilities, grounds maintenance, repairs and resource management, and build professional networks to support best practice.
• Use effective interpersonal skills and empathy when managing sensitive situations and supporting student wellbeing.
