Business Development Representative (BDR)

About the role

A growing Australian team is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify and create new qualified sales opportunities. The BDR drives revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying leads and building relationships with potential clients.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential leads through cold calling, emails, social media and events, and generate outbound leads by engaging decision-makers
• Build and maintain a pipeline of quality leads, meeting daily and monthly lead-generation goals
• Use CRM software, email marketing tools and prospecting platforms to track and manage leads
• Reach out to prospects by call, email or LinkedIn, and run discovery calls to understand their challenges and needs
• Schedule qualified meetings or demos for the sales team and share prospect notes and insights
• Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics for lead generation and qualified leads, and report outreach activity in the CRM

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development or a related field; internships or early-career roles are welcome
• Fluent English; another language is an advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, resilience in the face of rejection, and a proactive approach

Required skills

• CRM and sales automation tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach) are a plus
