Business Development Manager - Wholesale Investment

About the role

An established global asset manager is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Australian wholesale market. The role sits within a growing international distribution team and helps expand the firm's presence with financial advisers, dealer groups, platforms and other wholesale investment channels. You will develop new client relationships, build a high-quality sales pipeline and grow assets under management by distributing investment strategies and funds.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships across the Australian wholesale investment market.
• Identify, originate and convert new business opportunities.
• Create and execute targeted sales plans for priority dealer groups, platforms and Approved Product Lists (APLs).
• Present investment strategies, market views and fund capabilities to prospective clients.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive business development.
• Work with client service and operational teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
• Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to support future growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in wholesale business development within asset management or financial services.
• Existing relationships across the Australian wholesale investor market.
• A track record of generating and converting new business.
• Excellent presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across wider teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of investment products, particularly equities and fixed income strategies.
• Wholesale business development and sales planning.
