Business Development Manager, Venture Capital and Startup Ecosystem

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead its Venture Capital and Startup ecosystem initiatives. You will work closely with regional sales leaders and cross‑functional teams to shape go‑to‑market strategies for digital‑native and startup customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead partnership efforts with a portfolio of leading venture capital firms.
• Collaborate with Google Cloud regional sales leadership to develop ecosystem and VC‑specific strategies.
• Promote Google’s startup program, drive adoption, and manage credit consumption.
• Build and expand relationships with key partners, securing long‑term partnership agreements.
• Enable portfolio companies to adopt and use Google Cloud services, coordinating internal resources to meet their needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of quota‑carrying sales or account‑management experience.
• Preferred: 10 years overall experience, with at least 5 years in VC/Private Equity, investment banking, consulting, partnerships or business development roles interacting with C‑level stakeholders.
• Experience managing products and technologies in Cloud or SaaS sectors.
• Proven ability to create and execute Go‑To‑Market strategies for startups and digital‑native businesses.
• Deep knowledge of the local startup ecosystem; experience as a founder or executive in a startup or VC firm.
• Strong capability to engage with executives and technical leaders such as CTOs.
