Business Development Manager – Plastics & Polymers (Australia & NZ)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow a high‑value plastics and polymers portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne, you will work autonomously while leveraging the support of global account managers, technical teams and product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets for the plastics portfolio.
• Manage and expand relationships with existing customers across healthcare, industrial, automotive and electrical sectors.
• Identify new market opportunities, industries and applications for engineered polymer products.
• Provide technical support and product expertise to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with global R&D and product teams to introduce new products and solutions.
• Report market insights, competitor activity and sales performance to local leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or account management within the plastics, polymers or related manufacturing sectors.
• Strong understanding of production processes and the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across multiple stakeholder levels.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and comfortable working independently.
