Business Development Manager – NSW

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive new service and maintenance business across NSW by promoting Gardner Denver’s product range and service capabilities. The role balances new‑business hunting (about 70% of time) with key account management (30%).

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and win new aftermarket business opportunities, extending market reach for both new and established products.
• Implement Gardner Denver service and spares programs, signing service contracts with new customers and converting existing ones to long‑term maintenance plans.
• Conduct Voice of Customer surveys to improve satisfaction and retention, and manage complaints to ensure resolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date market intelligence, evaluate opportunities, and produce regular reports for management.
• Support internal teams, including Customer Service Manager and Sales Specialists, and collaborate with local service managers on additional service work.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a “can‑do” attitude.
• Proven business‑development experience with a hunter mentality, able to meet targets and work independently.
• Excellent organisational abilities, capable of prioritising work and meeting deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as required across the assigned territory.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to research and engage new prospective clients.
