Business Development Manager – MICE

About the role

Join Avani Cypress Lakes Resort, a flagship property in the Hunter Valley, as a Business Development Manager – MICE. You will lead the growth of corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences and events business, driving revenue and building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Drive corporate and MICE revenue growth through proactive sales activities and market outreach.
• Identify, secure and negotiate new business opportunities and group bookings.
• Maintain and expand existing accounts to maximise repeat business.
• Conduct client meetings, site inspections and familiarisation visits.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and ensure successful event execution.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Hospitality sales experience, preferably within the MICE or corporate market.
• Proven ability to generate new business and grow key accounts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
• Passion for hospitality, events and delivering exceptional client experiences.
